Supressor Question
is 1/2-28 (2A) going to work with 1/2-28 TPI thread? Is there a difference?

1/2-28 class 2A threads is a size tolerance for an external thread. 1/2 inch is the nominal major diameter, and the 28 is the TPI (thread per inch).

Internal thread classes are designated with a B instead of an A.
The UNEF stands for Unified National Extra Fine. UNF (Unified National Fine), and UNC (Unified National Coarse) are some of the other designations. For 1/2 diameter threads, the thread counts are:
UNC - 13 threads per inch
UNF - 20 threads per inch
UNEF - 28 threads per inch (the one you were asking about)
