Just shot there a few days ago with my son-in-law. Not my first time and won't be my last. Always a good time, never attitude or problems from customers or staff. I have an LTCF and NEVER a problem carrying in the store or out of the range!
    A great place to shoot!

I just finished logging my test targets for new .40 reloads with a Beretta 96 after an hour of shooting. The folks were awesome, and I had the good fortune of two younger ex-Marines shooting on each side of me. Told 'em I appreciate what they've put on the line for folks like me and my family.

The bad news (not related to French Creek, but my reloading and shooting for I had never shot a .40 before) is that Blue Dot (8.0 gns behind a 155 gr FMJ bullet) recorded three first places at 5. 7. 10. and 15 yds. Average 5 shot groups were .62 at 5 yds, .53 at 10 yds, and 1.08 at 15 yds.

But I had to weigh each charge because Blue Dot didn't throw as reliably as some other powders in my Dillon.

W231 in 5.7 gn loads behind the same bullet took the most places (4) at the same distances. Average 5 shot groups were .62 at 5 yds, .51 at 7 yds, .71 at 10 yds, and 1.69 at 15 yds.

Anyways, the good folks at French Creek are just that - really GOOD folks. You just can't go wrong shooting there if you're anywhere nearby...

Finally went by on Saturday. Really nice selection of firearms and ok prices.
Only picked up a handful of chamber flags

Most people seemed pleasant.. one guy took a bunch of time to talk with my brother who was looking for a peppergun..
One older guy acted too cool to help folks with a bit of an attitude..

range and store open on Sundays ;-)

Now when I go visit my brother I can look at doing some indoor range time during Winter months.. (Warmer months I have an open air range behind my house)

Has anyone attended any of their firearms instruction classes? I just told a friend about them last week who is new to handguns but she wants to learn. She inherited some guns.

I can't help you with that but my gun club has a women's program and it is open to the public. I believe it's free for members and $10 for non-members. It is a discriminative class for wimmens only but it sounds like a neat program, they talk about shooting AR's and stuff at the meetings.

Hudson's, not far from Fr. Creek, has classes every Saturday, taught by an NRA cert'd woman.
