Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
Your question is somewhat broad, so I will answer it this way. There is nothing in the PA Uniform Firearms Act that prohibits it.
You will want to make sure you are legal and permitted to either carry or ride on the property where you are doing either or both.
You will want to make sure you are not in violation of any hunting or wildlife regs.
What do you carry when you ride? I'm thinking you are probably OK if you are carrying a firearm as defined in the UFA, but IANAL and this is not legal advice.
How's that for a vague answer? While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
I believe it used to be prohibited by hunting regs, but I also believe that was overridden by the legislature, perhaps in the language of HB40.

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
I usually carry my g23 or my g19 or anything I plan to target shoot with that day, some days I carry several guns.I dont ride on posted or game lands I have a valid registration and a current permit to ride on reading anthracite land, but you know how it is out in the bush sometimes you end up where you don`t belong by accident. If I get chased I don`t plan on running so there be the problem do I get busted for carrying while riding an atv.

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
Effective in 2008, the ATV carry prohibition in the MV statute (75 Pa CS 7727) as well as regulations issued under the Department of Environmental Resources, Pennsylvania Game Commission and Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (18 Pa CS 7506) were tolled (suspended) by 18 Pa CS 6109(m.2) for LEOs and people with a Pa LTCF or reciprocated license.

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
Always better to ask here. You will hear all kinds of silly rules that people have "heard" and have never actually looked at the laws.
For example, couple folks I know were talking about the upcoming AZ permit class in town and carry in general:
Guy - "I heard you can't carry in a bank."
Me - "Sure you can, unless that particular bank posts a sign that prohibits it."
Guy - "Well, maybe it was you can't carry in a bank with the word "National" in it."
Always good to post here and ask the experts.Marty near God's Country. Making good people defenseless doesn’t make bad people harmless.

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
They did change the laws to allow you to carry while hunting and even spot lighting if you have a LTCF. If I remember right a lot of bow hunters complained about not being able to protect themselves while bow hunting, this is just the information that I remember. Page 16 of the Hunting and Trapping Digest says the with a LTCF or Sportsman Firearms Permit you can carry while hunting an spotlighting

Re: Can I legally carry when I ride
I would GUESS that if you are not hunting all other laws would apply. If you are on private property then the property owner would be the only one who could regulate firearms, If you are on county owned land like county parks then 6120 preemption protects you. State forest does not prohibit carry i any way. The only issue would be on State Parks where they say you can CC but not OC which violates HB40 section that says no gvernment agency may regulate firearms. Again all this is just the way I understand the law. The OP needs to do some more research or provide more info, especially info on who owns the land that he will be on
