Default **NEW** Pennsylvania Gun Rights flyer released! --> Ready for printing <--

EDIT: UPDATE. First revision ready to print!

    The NEW PennslvaniaGunRights.pdf Flyer

Ok, I've listened to you input regarding the PA gun rights/OC flyer and offer for your consideration a new version with less legalese and more meat-n-potatoes.

This flyer is NOT a replacement for the OC flyer, but rather a more versatile version covering both OC, CC as well as some other things such as transfer and transporting firearms in PA.

What I ask for is everyone to take a minute and check it out.
    Please post/PM me any:

    • Corrections (spelling/grammar)
    • Technical errors
    • as well as any ideas that you think would improve the flyer in general

My hope is to get this squared away in time for folks to print a car load f these for the rally in Harrisburg on Monday.

    So git crackin'

    The NEW PennslvaniaGunRights.pdf Flyer

I will leave this thread open for now for continuing corrections and suggestions.

    Pa...
after some looking, here's what I came up with:

    Is that Legal?

Did you want "that" capitalized here also?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

§ 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a li-
    cense.

I know spacing is an issue, but kinda looks bad to break up "license" like that

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    LICENSING
Pursuant to §6109 of the PA UFA

Maybe spell out UFA here as well?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

    LICENSING
Pursuant to §6109 of the PA UFA, resident License
to Carry Firearms permits (LTCF) are issued by the
county sheriff of the jurisdiction in which the applicant
resides. Nonresident permits are issued by select
    county sheriff offices.

Don't use permit anywhere when speaking of PA's license, always LTCF or spelled out

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    Brandishing & Disturbing the Peace:
There is no “brandishing” or “distubing the peace” law in
PA. Therefor open carry can be neither.

    Correct spelling on underlined.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

    - Airport Terminals (secure areas, common areas OK)

Clarify secure areas are off limits, looks confusing.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

Transfer of ownership of long guns with NON PA residents
must go through an FFL either in the recipients state or PA.

    "Apostrophe s" on "recipients" - recipient's

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Buying, Selling and Transferring ownership:
Long guns: Rifles and shotguns may be transferred (bought,
sold and gifted) between PA residents without going
through a Federally Licensed Dealer (FFL)...

Maybe make that make that Federal Firearms Licensee, to match the initials?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    All for now...good work

Added links (tinyurl's) to all legal refs.
Changing the statutes on back panel to mostly links to statutes.
    couple formatting issues....

Will post final version in new thread and update the existing OC flyer "sticky" to show/link to both versions

    Keep the suggestions coming!

Question...are the Tiny URLs reliable and permanent? I've never really used them. I understand they take a very long URL and make it shorter, just wondering of reliability.

There are a few URLs that don't work:

conjunction with a lawful supervised school activity or course
    or is possessed
    for other lawful purpose.

    § 5503. Disorderly conduct
    -Tinyurl-
§ 6120. Limitation on the regulation of firearms and
    ammunition.
