LTCF Application Processing Question

That's something has to be done in person.

I don't recall anything in the UFA which forbids the sheriff accepting applications by mail.

Update:

I got my LTCF - Pistol Permit.

I went into the York, sheriff's deputy office, and there was about 4 other people filling out LTCF applications. Someone called on me, and I explained my situation. After that basically they asked to see my driver's license, and pose for a picture. The had no excuse for a no call back, they said they just wanted to see a driver license in person. They're busy, and that's it. Now I possess a LTCF.

For what it's worth, I put my LTCF application in the mail to York County on March 1st. Got an email this morning (3/5) to come pick up my permit. That seems amazingly responsive to me. Sounds like someone may have dropped the ball on your application.

I mailed mine March 2nd...from an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. When I checked my email today I had a notification saying that mine is ready. I wasn't expecting it anywhere near that quick.
