Re: .223 Initially- PARC
The panic prices are dropping every day and eventually will get close to where they were. K have spoken to many distributors and they are seeing an ease in prices as well. This Summer we will see the hangover of excess buying come into effect, when families realize their Summer vacation money was spent on ammo.
This deal has a lot of potential, but think the continuous drop in prices will eventually hurt this deal if prices are not good right out of the gate. I realize every one wants a good price but at some point reason will prevail.
Buying into these panic prices will only prolong the pain you are feeling in your wallet.

Re: .223 Initially- PARC
I've been keeping tabs on this site for ammo prices....
The better priced stuff seems to go almost as fast as it pops up but at least this a s decent gauge for the going prices that are out there....

Re: .223 Initially- PARC
This was an email response someone posted on AK files under this same buy.
Have you checked what people are selling for? These are NOT a surplus or "I
gotta dump a bunch of ammo" buy. These are BRAND NEW, NAME BRAND, quality
Barnes hollow point jacketed- depending on which flavor you want, subject to
the inventory at time of shipment.
An example retail price is .223 55gr JOT Hollow point retails at $ 1092/k
We expect to have those available for around 800-880/k
Jacketed lead core training and duty .223 55 gr retails at $ 817/k. We
expect to offer for $660- $720/k
We're trying to do even better due to higher volumes, but it's almost
impossible to even FIND this ammo today
Also keep in mind, this INCLUDES 11% Federal Excise Tax (unless you are
buying for resale, then you can deduct the 11% and charge your customer
instead)
At the same time, we are looking to have a sustainable supply with this
manufacturer for other ammo. Finding primers, brass, etc is VERY DIFFICULT
right now, due to the market manipulation by the Federal purchasing folks.
As you know, many retailers are limiting customers to only a few BOXES at a
time.
We can offer 100k rounds to you, if you want. At least until the initial 5
Million rounds are used up.
We are *hoping* an order this size will move the mfr up in the food chain
and allow them to offer larger, more attractive contracts to mfrs of raw
materials (ie primer, powder, etc), so they can make MORE ammo for all of
us.
This is probably a lot more info than you were expecting, but I thought you
deserved a more detailed response than something like, "Yeah, in your
dreams" or some other short answer
Hope this answers your questions.
At which point my fuck's given meter just pegged out at 0.
Truthfully my interest in 5.56 of any variety is close to zero. But I was hoping this would progress into other calibers. As of now, until people cut back on the crazy juice, I'm not dying for any ammo. Would I make a bulk purchase at pre-crazy prices? Yup. But hopefully this would get into 9mm, 45, or 7.62x39mm. But it looks like they want to build BMW ammo and sell it for Lambo prices.
At which point they can go play in traffic.

Re: .223 Initially- PARC
If this hits the sub $0.40/rd range I'll be interested. Any more than that and it's not much of a deal to me. I can still get 55gr 5.56 for about $0.40/rd through my LGS if I don't mind waiting for my turn on the wait list.

Re: .223 Initially- PARC
Hey guys,
It's going to be a little longer, but the prices and supply are going to be much better, too
I know it sounds like a crock to say you'll understand once we can tell you everything, but that's what it is for a short bit longer.
If all works out as planned, we will have .223, 9mm, and .45 available. We're working on the 5.56 and 7.62 stuff, but that will take a bit longer.
If you're impatient like I am, you may want to ignore this thread for about a week
I can tell you the price won't be $.20/round, but it won't be $ .80/rnd either.
The original email that was posted up on the forums (and which I sent, so can't complain except that I would have explained it better if it was going to be for public consumption) was based on their known pricing structure. We are FAR beyond that point right now...

Re: .223 Initially- PARC
Just hit my local Walmart at the right time last week & scored 3 boxes of 100 rd value packs of Federal .223 for $34.95 each. 35 cents per round is hard to beat, I'll sure be glad if/when things get back to normal & I can get this stuff on a regular basis
