Default What if? Hollywood vs. Real Life

    I got to thinking...

We've all seen the action movies where the hero infiltrates the bag guys lair and systematically takes out the heavily armed guards one by one...well, my question is, if you had a compound of your own and wanted to patrol your property while openly caring an AR or an AK or say you even can afford to pay a small army of your own to patrol your grounds...is it legal? What would the cops say? Obviously, you or your security team couldn't open fire on anything that moves like in the movies...but could there be some realism to this scenario?

Just making conversation since I don't have my own compound or security team...yet!

Sure you could, just hire a private security firm.

If you want them to be bad-ass military-like, just hire BlackWater or something like that.

If you have the compound, you are the villain. So you won't get Chuck Norris. You want ex-CIA/Special Forces/Martial Arts Sensei. You hire Seagal. Next is weapons acquisition. Hollywood guns are mandatory, since they are all full-auto with infinite ammo, grenades that only go off when the target is near them, and L.A.W. rockets with no backblast.

I have been looking for these magazines for years! I have tried CheaperThanDirt, Sportsman's Guide, Natchez, CDNN, and Shooter's Connection. Can anyone direct me to a place that sells them?

I could really use some of the pistol mags too for IPSC!

    You really can't mess with Steven Seagal and a full-auto, infinite-ammo 1911.

Speaking of Steven Sea-gull. What the hell happened to him? He was a thin bad ass in his first movie "Above the law" (1989 I think and his best flick). I swear each movie after that went further downhill and he managed to put on more and more weight for each consecutive film. How can a martial artist/action actor let himself go like that?

Segal was married to Kelly LeBrock a while back, but I think he beat her and got divorced! (Dumb ass...she was HOT!)

How about this for unlimited ammo! In slo-mo, too!

She got fat too! She was on some celebrity fat club last year and was over 200 pounds.

I'd still hit it for the voice and just think about Weird Science. Man, she was hot in that movie!
