Re: Reloading .223Rem/5.56mm
Be careful when using the Winchester powders. I have a load that I developed for my 22-250 that shoots 1/4 five shot groups in moderate temperatures. They are right around 3600 FPS, but if the weather is hot the velocity jumps to around 3900 FPS and the cases show signs of pressure. When I use these round when it's hot out I keep the rounds in a cooler until I am ready to fire. No other powder that I have tried shows this much variation, but my gun likes the Win760 so I continue to use it.
