Can you use Gen 2 Glock 26 Magazine in a Gen 3 ?

Is it possible to use a Glock 26 Gen 2 magazine in a Glock 26 Gen 3 ?

You can very easily "upgrade" the older Generation 2 magazines as well. Springs are cheap and so are the followers. Look at the top of the followers. There will be an embossed number with a cirlce around it. The larger the number, the more "recent" the design. I don't have the latest follower number, but it is something that can easily be answered by finding a Gen 4 magazine or asking on a "Glock" related forum. I think 8 was the last I remember seeing.

I think it was something like you can use newer mags on the older guns such as gen 4 on gen 3 and gen 2 but gen 2 and gen 3 won't work with gen 4? I may be wrong, or it might only have to do with the reversible mag release when its in the other configuration.

Correct. The 1,2 and 3 mag bodies dont have the cut out for right side mag release.

you can still use older mags in a gen 4 as long as mag release is on left side as it comes setup for a righty and not flipped for a lefty. just to clarify
