last time i went to cabellas they were out of stock except for the rounds that were over $1 per round, i'll try gander mountain i haven't been there. Ace is a good though but its absolutely ridiculous in that store anymore. they need to buy the tractor supply behind there and hire about 100 more people. thanks for the info guys

Was there today(Sunday) around noon. No .223 that I noticed. The ammo shelves looked a little bare. They had no primers and some powder but not what I use.

Picked up 4 boxes of Fed 100 rd 223s late late last night $34.97- at one of the walmarts on the way home from State College. Interestingly they were not in the glass locked case - husband eyed the four boxes just sitting under a counter by the cash register !!- guy didn't really want to sell to both of us. hmmm

Last time I was there, they had .223 PMC for $9.99 a box, $8.99 if you used a Cabelas Visa, 5 box limit. I bet they'd rather sell it in the store than online, because that gets people into their store.
