Default Another Act 235 question, getting closer to actually applying.

Okay, just got the form. Section 15:

"HAVE YOU EVER BEEN ARRESTED OR CHARGED WITH VIOLATION OF THE LAW? (INCLUDING TRAFFIC VIOLATION) (IF YES, EXPLAIN BELOW AND INDICATE ALL ARRESTS AND DISPOSITIONS, EXCLUDING PARKING TICKETS)"

Does this mean I need to look up all the dates on my old speeding tickets (assuming I can even find that information on the oldest/out of state ones) and the tickets I've gotten when involved in car accidents? (Like for instance I hit a guard rail once due to weather and was ticketed with "Improper lane change" .. thanks, state trooper, my day hadn't gone bad enough by that point. Sure going to encourage me to report future no-injury accidents like that.)

And I have a dismissed/sealed charge in New York State that was given an ACD (Adjournment in contemplation of dismissal) almost a decade ago, do I need to disclose that since it's sealed?

I finally got my boss interested in paying for my certification so I want to make sure I fill this out accurately.

The directions there are pretty self explanatory and clear.

The answer to your question is "yes", they want to know about every time you've been arrested or been issued a traffic citation.

If you are talking about a traffic citation from years ago, I think they'll be pretty understanding if you don't recall the exact date. Estimate it with the month and year, and say that on the paperwork and you should be fine.

If you've had a bunch of traffic citations, get a certified copy of your driving record from PennDot. The dates of all your citations will be on that.

    Hm. Follow-up:

I purchased my Full Driver Record from PennDOT online, it shows one ticket from 2008 (I had actually forgotten about that one, I can't place where it happened though.) and none of the others that I've had years before or in other states, and checking online through the court docket search isn't showing anything from PA, even the one my driver history displays.

I guess I have to estimate after all. What a waste of $5. At least I know I don't have any points on my license for sure, I guess.

Maybe they changed the form, but it's right there in black and white.

My advice is simple, tell the truth, don't omit anything.

I'd love to. But the problem comes down to not remembering dates, locations, etc., so it isn't omitting so much as "Crap, I don't know."

What if a case was completely expunged and there is absolutely no record if it? The police cant even see it when ding a NCIC.
