Now Kane wants same standards to buy a firearm as CC
Here you go, hot off the press. Are you willing to ask your local law enforcement if you are permitted to buy a gun?

I understand what the OP is saying.
The first line in that article reads as follows: “If you cannot get a permit in Pennsylvania, then you should not have a gun in Pennsylvania.”
That was attributed to AG Kane.

Every angle comes the infringement. Permits are already an infringement, a HUGE infringement. What would the FF's have said to that???
The 2A restricts .GOV only to the extent that "We the People" can stop them. They know it and are intent on overwhelming us with the financial staying power of .Gov.Last edited by PocketProtector; February 18th, 2013 at 11:42 AM.

I'm pretty sure Kane simply misspoke. I'm sure she meant to say "carry" not own a gun. But still, OP, you make a good point ... words DO have meaning, and clearly she didn't say what she meant to say, unless she really DOES feel we need to have a Jersey-like permitting system for ownership. If that's the case, she can go ... well ... I'll keep it clean

I think the standard for ownership *should* be the same as for carry. If you can pass a NICS background check, you should be able to get a LTCF!
