As for her looks, I like the down to earth look. Not everyone needs a supermodel in their home like you must.
I wouldn't suggest that my wife tries to become a supermodel, but I'd easily choose her looks and intelligence over that thing. <shrug>

Phred is a cute little girl. I prefer Courtney on "Yukon Men" myself.

I only know of Paige and Steph, Steph doesn't cut it, way too annoying and Paige is just too young. I don't even believe in the others till I see some pics
These are the times that try men's souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Thomas Paine 1776

Not a comment about the girls on the show but in tonight's episode there was a guy picking up his "survival rifle". I was a bit surprised when it turned out to be a bolt action .22

.22s are great rifles, and some would say the most versatile, but if I lived in Alaska I think my choice survival rifle would pack a little more punch. I'm thinking I wouldn't go lighter than a lever action .44

I would agree with you. But I think what he was looking for was more an AR-7 survival rifle. As they said in the show a rifle version of Rambo's knife.

The above post is my opinion. Check with a lawyer first. You have been warned.

I understand that. I just can't imagine having to rely on a .22 if I was in a real survival situation in the Alaskan wilderness. Sure a .22 will put bunnies on the camp fire but I'd want something in case of wolves, bear, etc... I am smart enough to know I am not outrunning a 4 legged meat eater in that environment so I better have something that makes decent sized holes.

A rifle version of Rambo's knife? If Rambo had nail clippers in his pocket! You can store all the same crap in a hollowed stock of most other rifles. It would have been more practical to mount a pouch on the non shooting side of the rifle than inleting the stock to make room for a space blanket. All that did was create a layer of plastic that will trap moisture. The guys on the show build some great guns but this wasn't one of them. Just one more example of a reality show that isn't reality.
