Question about son selling dad's handgun in PA
My dad is moving into an assisted living home and no longer has a need for his Smith Airweight .38. I don't need it as I already have one now. I want to sell it for him and get some money to give back to him for better use. He cannot get around well now so getting him to a FFL to do a transfer is going to be difficult. Since I'm his son, can I take possession of the handgun as a hand-down/gift and then sell it to someone else without legal problems? In other words - I do the transfer instead of my dad.

He can give you the gun with no paperwork.
Once its yours, you can do whatever you want
