Zastava Pap M85PV 5.56
Any info on these pistols? What mags do they accept? Does anybody have one of these or know about them.

All I can tell you is Zastava has been around since before the 20th century. Doens't look like they're going anywhere anytime soon. You should be careful what you pay for one as they range from $600 to over $900 for the same gun.Last edited by harold63; February 14th, 2013 at 09:38 PM.
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

I just got one and I love it. It shoots great and is very accurate. From what I've seen some galil mags work but are loose.

Not an ideal barrel length for the caliber.
Mags will be standard AK 5.56 mags. Which are expensive and hard to find. Not sure about Galil mags.

Re: Zastava Pap M85PV 5.56
Since this thread was bumped. I will give an update.
I purchased one of these late Feb. and was able to get 3 more mags for it. I have about 300 flawless rounds through it and it is a blast.
Very low recoil but you can feel like a force field of blast and air. It also shoots flames lol. Pretty accurate for what it is but more of a fun shooter.
I did the wood with a reddish stain and it looks really nice.FOAC Member, NRA Member

Re: Zastava Pap M85PV 5.56
That's the problem. There is no standard for 5.56 AK mags. Bulgarian, Russian, Chinese, German, Israeli, Finnish, USA all vary. There has never been a standardized 5.56/.223 AK rifle. You get conflicting reports of what works with what and sometimes it seems the even within a single brand you have compatiblity problems (newer Bulgarian SLR mag not working on an older SAR).
So Chris, for the record: what mags does your Zastava like?

Eff that noise...
I never even considered an AK in 5.56. Then when I was pondering dumping all the AR related weapons in favor of AK's I did. Briefly. But it was only to take a Saiga and get that magwell conversion that one place does so it uses AR mags that gives you the real push button release, and BHO.
That's the only way I would do it.
On a pistol, that's added bulk. But I do remember people always griping about 5.56 AK mags.
