STATEMENT FROM SHERIFF BOB KOLAR ON SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS

As the elected Sheriff of Cambria County, Pennsylvania, I recognize the primary responsibility of law enforcement is to protect the citizens and preserve individual rights and freedoms.

I have been honored to have been elected four times by the citizens of my county, and have sworn an oath each time to support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I have worked continuously as a peace officer in Cambria County since January 1998 to uphold that oath.

In accordance with the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, I believe that law abiding citizens have the right to own, possess, keep, and bear arms.

I will not support any efforts to infringe upon the Constitutional liberties of responsible citizens in Cambria County.

I continue to stand with my citizens to assure that their rights under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights will not be infringed.

Very good to hear. I clicked on the link above to read it and also seen my cousin Steve is also getting a new K-9.

Sheriff Kolar was a little hard to work with at first, when I went to get his certification for a Form 1. He was telling me I had the wrong form before he even looked at it. (it was downloaded and printed right from the ATF website) I guess the page format changed a little since the last one he saw, but eventually, I want to say, almost reluctantly, he did follow through and complete his sign-off.
