    Default FN SCAR 17S

I have a buddy who has happened upon one of these little beauties and is looking to sell it. The ones I have found are priced all over the place. He's asking what it's worth and I can't seem to get a number for him.

It's NIB. Black. Chambered in .308 and has 1 20rd mag. Never fired.

Value? I've seen them from $3k to $7k.

About 4500.00-5000.00 for NIB 17s seem to be the norm.

Just curious - but what was the pre-crazy price? CDNN had them for a while but I never jumped on it.

Its hard to believe there are people actually paying $4500-$5000+ for an FN Scar 17S. It's a fantastic rifle don't get me wrong. I guess the sayings true, theres a sucker born every minute

i paid 2700 OTD for my black SCAR17 a few years ago but in todays market I wouldn't sell mine for less than $3500. if your buddy wants to sell it have him open a account with gunbroker and start the bidding at $3500 and see what happens. gunbroker is the way to go if you want to maximize your profit "BUT" the time to sell was about a month ago when panic buying was in overdrive. i think some of the panic buying is slowing down a bit and getting someone to pay 4-5 grand for a SCAR 17 has passed.

You should have bought them all, that is way below dealer cost. I paid a little more than that for my SCAR 16 last year and I got it at dealer cost.

Nope it's more like you snooze you lose, and if anyone didn't see something like this coming 4 years ago they must have been in one hell of a deep sleep.
