Glock 19 question before purchase
I found a guy through armslist selling a glock 19 gen 3 with 8 spare mags, 2 holsters, 2 leather mag holders, case and cleaning kit for 650 shipped.
We started discussing payment and method to ship.
Does this seem like a decent deal for me in the current market? I haven't been able to find glock 19s in the wild anywhere and this was a last ditch effort to get one.
Additionally this will be my first gun purchase online; he said he is shipping FFL to FFL - I had my shop send their FFL to his shop....
Has anyone got advice on not getting burned? I tracked the guys personal info down and he seems legit to me.

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
You could call his FFL and see if someone there knows him personally and can vouch for him. That could help.

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
if all the mags are glock OEM id say its a "fair" deal given the climate of things but a used G19 gun alone should be around 400-450 so that gives you an idea of the deal

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
I don't know how the process for buying through Armslist is, so I won't comment on how risky it is, but if it's like GunBroker, you shouldn't be worried.
Assuming that the gun doesn't have many thousands of rounds through it, and if they are full cap Glock mags in good shape, and the hosters are of decent quality and condition, I would suggest this is a good deal. You can never have enough horsepower or ammunition.

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
Doesn't sound bad to me when you consider I just got a G19 Gen4 with 3 mags for $599. The average going rate on G19 mags is $30-$40 a piece so in mags alone you have $240-$320. Plus as you mentioned, G19 are hard to find.

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
That deals sounds ok to me. Average pre-gouge era pricing for a used g19 is between $400-450. Pre-gouge pricing on glock factory 15 rd mags about $25 a piece. 8 mags @$25=$200 plus price of Glock gets you right around the asking price. Add a few holsters in the mix and I'd say it seems pretty fair deal to me, as long as the mags are factory hi-caps and the gun isn't beat to hell.

Re: Glock 19 question before purchase
I know it has been a while, but I figured I'd finally post my ending results.
I got the glock 19, the 8 mags, the 2 holsters and 2 leath mag pouches as stated delivered to my FFL. Everything came perfectly fine and functioning great. The gun was flawless and looked unfired.
In the end the mags ended up being 10 round magazines which because of the time frame and situation with NY I was able to sell them all for $400 which meant that in the end I got the glock, 2 mag holders and 2 holsters for $250
I ended up buying two 15 round magazines and have put well over 2000 rounds through the glock already. Never misses a beat.
