American Arms & Ammo
I've got to give some praise to the guys at American Arms and Ammo on Rt.309 in Colmar.
I've been hitting up every gun shop I've been able to find for the last couple of months looking for (what are today) oddball deals. However, when I'm looking for something in particular, I always go to American Arms & Ammo.
It's a somewhat small shop in size, but is literally loaded wall to wall with guns.
The selection is great, they're reasonably priced, and the guys are personable unlike a lot of the large stores.
Fred, Ken, and Pat (PJ) are always helpful if I have a question, and never seem to mind when I stop in "just to browse". I do try to let them know that I'm just there to look at times, so they don't waste time on me as they're usually pretty busy trying to help 3 people at once and taking care of the phones. Owning my own business, it impresses me how they handle many people at once, effectively, and no one seems to have to wait, or get inferior service.
End result: Good selection, good prices, great service. I'm lucky to have them local to me, and always recommend them to friends.Last edited by DSMDealer; February 13th, 2013 at 07:02 PM.

Re: American Arms & Ammo
They are the only ones I do business with, I just walked in there yesterday and the cabinets were full again, bought a Taurus PT740 slim for 360.00 and was looking at a Ruger P-85 for 279.00, they are truley the best and my only gunshop.

Re: American Arms & Ammo
Got to give a huge thumbs up to this place. Took my almost 4 yr old daughter with me. They gave my daughter lolly pops through our stay, we were there for 1 hr or so. Very nice group of guys. I went there to do a trade and they were great. Picked up my new Ruger LC9 today and got a Desantis holster with mag pouch from them. Guy knocked off $5 on holster just cuz I said it was a bit more than I wanted to spend on one right now to my buddy.
I'll go back again! They also had a Barrett .50 I messed with. Boy are they heavy!
Forgot to add. TONS of firearms in that place today. Maybe 40-50 handguns. 10-15 ARs of different flavors. Milsurpmwas decent as well. No ammo but tons of awesome firearms!

Just watch your step when you go in the door. The ever vigilant (read: sleeping in front of the door) watch dog can be right there. Scratch her and she'll roll over for more and be your new friend.

Great shop. PJ is a stand up guy. Would not hesitate to do business with them.

Re: American Arms & Ammo
First rate guys and great to deal with. I have been dealing with them for many years and while I like to browse at other shops and guns shows, everything comes from here.
Do not hesistate to give them a shot! Just be careful not to step on the pup in the doorway!"Speak softly and carry a big stick" T. Roosevelt

Re: American Arms & Ammo
Some stuff there is priced well, and I have no problem buying. However, some stuff is kinda outrageous. They're selling .223/5.56 for about $18 a box, when Target World down the street is about half that.
They seem to be "the" place to go to get used guns, but beyond that there are other shops I prefer.
