Default Compensator set screws vs the barrel threads

Quick question for anyone with experience:

I recently picked up a LWD threaded barrel for my Glock 17. I also picked up an EFK Firedragon compensator (as I like its straight upwards design better than the LWD). Now my question is that when I tighten the set screws enough to the point where the comp stays in place, I see that there are small dings left in the threads of the barrel where the sets screws were...well...set.
Anyone have any idea if this is normal for comps with set screws??

I'd say the comp is made pretty well. Unfortunately the black matte finish rubbed right off when I was wiping the Loctite off of it (so I just wiped it all off with rubbing alcohol). Hope it's not more susceptible to cosmetic damage because of this...
