They still held off the ATF and forced them to retreat.

HEY, As an aside, look up who was on that congressional committee to "investigate" the siege at the branch davidians compound, and look up the FLIR data analysis by the contractor. I was surprised

Most competition shooters go through 2000 rounds in a weekend with no problems at all. Heck, I brought a few friends to the range and an hour (plus) later we were through 300 rounds The media is setting us up to look like real nut cases. The average dope citizen thinks the normal gun owner has one box of 22's and a box of shot gun shells and that's it.

Exactly, and with the old adage of 1000 rounds per firearm, I'm not even 1/3 of the way there! I think if you just had Uncle Joe's break action double barrel fudd gun and a .357 in your bedside table, you'd need no more than 2 rounds. One round will stop a home invasion, right?

I think when you hit 25000 a tank and grenade launcher will just appear out of thin air.

    The media always sensationalizes everything.

What the Croc! Monstrous 8ft gator caught in Florida sewer near elementary school

It was stuck in a sewer, not like any kids were actually missing...

Doesn't sound as dramatice to say, 8ft gator caught in Florida sewer.

They can both be a place of storage or place of manufacture.
    ar·se·nal
    noun
    1. a place of storage or a magazine containing arms and military equipment for land or naval service.
    2. a government establishment where military equipment or munitions are manufactured.
    3. a collection or supply of weapons or munitions.

    ar·mor·y
    noun
    1. a storage place for weapons and other war equipment.
    2. a building that is the headquarters and drill center of a military unit.
    3. a place where arms and armor are made; an armorer's shop
Anthony S. is correct. At least that was the difference we learned in school more than 50 years ago! And that's the reason the names were Sprinfield Arsenal, Harpers Ferry Arsenal, Lake City Arsenal, Waterveleit Arsenal! And concurrently National Guard unit locations were ARMORIES. But, years of misuse by "popular" language has changed the meanings. Just in the same manner that "may" is now used to show an optional course of action instead of "might". When Anthony and I were in school the word may was for asking or receiving permission, might indicating a choice and shall was mandatory.
