How long LTCF?
I know Berks county you walk in, wait 15 minutes, take a picture and walk out with your LTCF. Is it the same in Lancaster or is there a 30 day waiting period? I thought I read somewhere that it takes 30 days and they notify you by mail. If that's the case, why such a difference from one county to the next?

Re: How long LTCF?
Took about a half hour for my wife and I last May. We had them before but had moved to Lancaster so they were 'new' rather than renewals.

Re: How long LTCF?
I am so frustrated; I went down there today, no lines, no rush, took me right in. I paid my $20, got a receipt and was told I would get a card in the mail in 3-4 weeks to come back. WTF Lancaster? They claim they are too busy to do it while you wait. I called Berks County Sheriff and they said they do it while you wait, walk out in 15-20 minutes with the permit. How can Lancaster do this? Is this legal?

Sorry to hear of your 'adventure'. Maybe they've been slammed like the gun shops. And yeah, they have 45 days to issue.

Re: How long LTCF?
They claim to be slammed, but not that I can see. Didn't look slammed. Nothing like the stories I hear of Philly; Lines of people waiting to get in. Lanc County population is a fraction of Philly.

Re: How long LTCF?
It was walk in/walk out when I got mine in Lancaster a couple years ago. No idea why it changed.
