Re: Sellersville Gun & Knife Show
I went once. Small doesn't fully describe it. Not worth ticket price. No deals on anything.

Re: Sellersville Gun & Knife Show
I'll be the voice of disssent. I enjoy this show. Yes, it's tiny, and barely worth the $6, but the money does go to the VFW, and I have actually bought a few things there. Most people know how small this show is and avoid it. If you're looking for something, this might be a good show to go to, if others are avoiding it.

Re: Sellersville Gun & Knife Show
When my youngest went to college in the LV, I sometimes attended this show when in the area visiting. The show is tiny. Some of the vendors are more flea-markety than gun-showey. I haven't been back in a couple years.
But it's the kind of show that "you never know what will turn up". I've bought a few things there and sold a couple 22 rifles once. I've also walked out empty-handed.
The one thing I do enjoy, in a perverse way, is the aroma of stale beer and stale fryer oil. The VFW reeks with a "comfort food and drink" sort of odor that takes me back to my childhood when my folks took us kids to a local greasy spoon tavern for fish fries.
So if you see an upper-middle-aged gray-haired guy at the show breathing like he's huffing, that's me.

Re: Sellersville Gun & Knife Show
While I am not the promoter, I will thank those who attend in advance. I will be set up there ...
Yes, it's a small show. Since there are only two gun shows in eastern PA on these dates, there should be a decent number of sellers there. My tables will have mainly sporting arms, a few target rifles, optics, parts, accessories, some ammo, and miscellaneous stuff. Others will have a variety of guns, some milsurp, antiques, militaria, ammo, refinishing supplies, and who knows what else.
I won't try to say that a show is definitely "worth it" or "not worth it," but I encourage you all to support any show, throw a little money to the NRA recruiter while there, and see what may interest you.
At recent "small shows" we sold two nice .22 rifles to a Mossberg collector, a gorgeous early Browning Superposed to a trap shooter, a decent CMP M1 Garand to a collector who wanted a "shooter," a few inexpensive shotguns and .22's, a few high power rifles, and more.
Note that your support may help a show grow, while your lack of support will make it difficult to attract vendors.
Bring some cash, and see what kind of deal you can make. If you have stuff to sell, get tables! You'll meet a lot of people with common interests, and make some good friends.
A cool thing is that this is the longest continuously running gun show in PA. Keep it going.
