Make sure to let us know what it's like Saturday whoever goes! I always go to the shows, but don't want to wait 2 hours in line to find little to no guns and what is there being way out of whack with pricing. And I'm sure no deals on ammo at all I've also noticed even in good times, whenever it's in the two old buildings vs the large center - it's just not the same.
I hope I'm wrong, and there's good feedback from Saturday - if so, may head down Sunday

Arrived with a friend at about 10:00 a.m. Maybe 50 or so in line. Got inside and it was jammed with people. Wall to wall. Saw some primers for $40 per thousand, a few bricks of 22's (if you can find them) for $49.

Met a friend who I had ordered some bullets from. Got through half the show and left. No more shows for me until the craziness dies down.

I got there around noon, place was overflowing. I walked away with a fee goodies. Firearm prices are stupid high. People selling used glocks for over 600. The gouging is definitely noticeable. However theres alot of stuff, i had certain things i wanted going in so if i left without em i was ordering online. Just beware of the stupid prices

Was pretty much decided on not going until a buddy decided that he was going to run down, so I went. We got there a little later than my normal opening bell arrival, maybe about 10:15 or so. Only stood in line about 15 minutes to get in, but once inside it was jammed (think Disney World on July 4th!). First thing inside the door was an ammo dealer with 5.56 at about $1/round and trashy 50 cal. ammo cans at $12 ea. Both rooms were wall to wall and it was almost impossible to get close enough to actually see the tables. I did score some pmags, new in wrapper, for $20 (not pre-panic price but definately better than anything I've seen for some time now). Prices on AR type guns were crazy still, (I saw a NIB Colt 6920 at an asking price of $2499!?!?!?) and the few Colt 1911s were almost as bad. I did see a Series 80 officers in stainless (which I am looking for) at an asking price of $695, which I probably would have bought until I looked it over and found it had been badly abused and a lot of "bubba" type work done on it. Powder and primers were in short supply and likewise high priced, not a pound of Bullseye to be had anywhere, and 22lr CCI SV at $45-$50 a bricK... NO THANKS! Overall the show pretty much confirmed my previous decision that it's a waste of time to hit these shows until this panic and gouging settles back down, which probably won't happen until Obama and his gang pass whatever new legislation they're going to get through congress and people know what the future actually holds. In the meantime I'll live with, and enjoy, what I have and only buy what I absolutly have to have. YMMV.

I was considering going on Sunday just to look for some powder but it sounds like I'll be better off ordering online.

I arrived at around 12:30. Walked right in. The main room (right side) was crowded. The second room was managable with exception of the black gun and asseccories tables.

I look for reloading equipment and deals on hunting rifles and shotguns.

I saw two powder vendors: Minuteman and another dealer that I didn't catch the name of. Cheapest price I saw was $27 per lb. Didn't price primers. I think I may have seen three vendors with a decent supply of dies. Only Minuteman had new dies sets. No deals. I don't recall seeing any listed under $25 per set. Many were between $35 & $45.

I thought the deals of the day were at Backwoods Outfitters. They had a Stevens 200 in .30-06 with Weaver bases for $199 (I picked that one up) and a wood stocked Savage 110 with a cheap Simmons scope for $249. They also had a very nice Mossberg 20 ga bolt action for $95.

One fellow had an older RCBS JR3 press for $75. That was a $40-50 press not long ago.

Picked up a Commander sized M1991A1 and sadly missed out on the Tul ammo spam cans for 170 bucks...

I agree. Even my local dealer that is my go to guy was just selling pmags at $45 a piece and ammo is almost if not double in price. I refuse to be a sucker and wish more people would realize that if we keep feeding the monster it's going to continue wrecking havoc on the market. I'll remember the local shops that aren't price gouging and continue to do business with them after all this blows over.

Does anybody know the dealers name that normally is at the York show who has the collectable Smith and Wessons, Rugers and a bunch of Thompson Center Contender stuff?
I need to see him about some guns and he wasn't set up at this show.
    Thanks
