Default New to me Stoeger Cougar 8045F

Picked this up this week from another forum member. Have yet to shoot it but it feels great in my hands. This is my HD handgun.

Overall right now I am very pleased with the Stoeger Cougar 8045F. And in due time might pick up the 9mm version.

    Pros:
    - Fit and finish are good
    - Smooth trigger
    - Aftermarket grips available
    - Night sights available
    - Accessories rail

    Cons:
    - Barely any holsters available (Because of the accessories rail) if I wanted to carry it.
    - Heavy
    - Bulky grip

    Range report later today/tomorrow.

Nice! I have one of the original Beretta 8045's. Up until recently it was my favorite .45. Now it's a toss-up between it and my S&W 4506. My biggest gripe with the Beretta is that the grip always seemed too bulky given the magazine capacity. Other than that it has proven to be an accurate and utterly reliable handgun. I hope you get the same performance out of your Stoeger, Congrats!

The guy I traded with gave me a target he shot at. It was pretty darn decent grouping. I'm hoping I'm decent.
