Tim Benz resigns over gun comments?

Honestly, this works out great for me. I used to listen to the morning show every day at work, but I couldn't stand it any more in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook shootings. I haven't listened to the show since December and even stopped listening to The X altogether.

When Tim said on the air that he had the "right" not to be killed by "semi-automatic bullets" it irritated me, but when he read his response to an email which claimed AR15's were fun to shoot, and made the comment "Well I hope Adam Lanza had tons of fun when he killed all those children." I decided that I had heard enough.

Good riddance Tim.

Wish we could say the same to Marty Goofen over at KDKA AM. All he does daily is call anyone who owns guns - gunnuts. He's the only one there that carries on like that - because he feels he is sooooo talented he is above all the rest of us.

Benz said he did not resign and plans to honor the remaining terms of his contract in whatever way the station sees fit — be it on the air in a different capacity or off the air.
