Good price for an MSAR?
I just saw an MSAR STG-556 with the built in scope for sale on consignment at Johnstons in Croydon PA, and it included x2 magazines, and a simple case.... $2500....
It was a nice gun, but one it's not the E4 model, and two even the scoped E4 model can be had for around $1800 when you can find them. Because it's a consignment sale they can't do a trade for my AR-15, but even if I sold my AR and paid cash, does anyone else think that $2500 for an MSAR is a bit.. Insane? I mean, the actual AUG-A3 can be had for a bit less then that even. What's your thoughts on this? Should I maybe ask if I could speak to the actual owner of the gun and try to get the price lower?

Re: Good price for an MSAR?
i sold my MSAR for 1800 a few weeks ago and probably could have sold it for a few hundred more but I thought 1800 was a good price. NIB MSAR's ran about 1800 when they first hit the market back in 2008, a couple of years ago the bottom dropped out and you could buy a MSAR for a little under 1000. in todays climate 2500 may not be a bad price if you really want one but I wouldn't pay it. NIB AUG A3's are selling for almost 3500 so 2500 isn't bad for the MSAR. the MSAR had/have a issue with the bolts breaking and a company called ratworx came up with a bolt that solved the problem so that's another issue you may want to consider before laying out your cash.
