Default Just got back from Cabelas

My wife and I just got back from Cabelas....went there instead of the ESOS to support Cabelas for boycotting the ESOS . Well long story short my wife got a new carry piece. Beretta Px4 Storm Compact 9mm.

Now thank God I don't need any 9mm ammo because they have none ......only a few boxes of Golden Saber and Cor Bon ....bought those

FWIW ....my EDC is a Px4 Subcompact .40 so we were a little biased ...but the selection was sparse to say the least ....

Edit.... I should mention the only pistol ammo they have in bulk is .38 @ 180 for 400 LSWC ..they had a bunch on .357 SIG , and .45 ACP blazer aluminum .

Was it crowded at the counter? Last time I went I took a number like 85 and they were waitingon 29.... waited over and hour and walked out.
What was the damage on the PX4? Its a great little gun!

Congrats on the handgun and the few boxes.

    How long was the wait?

A friend of mine recently told me a tale of the 1000 yards of nearly bare display cases and rifle racks.

The wait was only about 15 mins to get waited on but pics was really slow took about 2 hrs to walk out with it.

    Got it for 525.

Wasn't really crowded at the store except for the gun counter. Got there @ 1215 had lunch at the Port Clinton Hotel...

The long gun racks were all but bare except for some shotguns and bolt action rifles and the pistol case was sparse the only thing they had in quantity were 1911's ,SIG's and .22's.

Guy next to us bought two Remmington R1 Zombie edition 1911's.......@ eight bills apiece.

Should have bought AKs before... Now, they're impossible to find at reasonable prices. Maybe I should hoard the 7.62x39, and barter for calibers I use... LOL!

Went there tonight myself. Dropped the carpool off at 4pm, pulled into cabelas at 4:40. Picked a number and bought a sig mosquito in FDE to compliment my 10/22 with a Tapco stock in FDE. Was out the door at 5:15.
Now the only thing I did notice in the ammo section were tumbleweeds rolling down the aisles. It's barren in there. Looked for spare mags, pretty thin there too. Oh well, I got a new gun! and made it home before the really bad weather hit.
