Setting Up Treestands in Monroe Co. !
Encountered some problems attempting to set-up my treestand in two locations for bowhunting season coming.Pa Troopers said to leave the area because of the manhunt for the suspect in the Pa Trooper shootings.Of course I complied willingley but sort of expected some areas would be permitted that were not under surveilence.Any one else encounter this problem ?

So, where are you supposed to hunt now? Can they shut the whole forest down? This can go on for months. Bullshit.

What SGL where you at...I know they had the range off 423 shutdown now for a bit.

They should let the hunters in, they may have a better chance at bagging the dirt ball.

I would think this is going to be a lean season with all the extra human commotion in the woods looking for the guys body.
Some people just plain suck.

Re: Setting Up Treestands in Monroe Co. !
I hauled my stand into SGL183 on Saturday. Didn't see anyone else in the woods. Did see a group of 4 wheelers go up the powerline right of way. Too far off to tell if they were LEOs or trespassers. The woods are reaaaally dry. The usual streams are all bone dry.
Noticed the range is closed. Is that due to the search for Frein?
