Contact S&W, they will tell you the year of production at no cost and their response time is astoundingly quick.

    Cruzans:

Need the letter or letters prefix for the S/N in order to date it properly. Something like "K" or "ABB," for example.

I can look it up in the Std Catalog of S&W when I get home tonight once I have the prefix letter(s).

I have loads of factory grips for K frame square butt guns if you want to trade those Pachy Goodyears for factory Magnas, even up, we each pay our own postage.

Thanks ! Inside crane is 356xx no letter/letters. On bottom of grip is 17k73xx. On grip metal is the same serial number as frame 356xx no letter/letters. Shoot me a pm pic if you have any round butt grips if you can, really don't like these grips so wouldn't mind trading Thanks again.

Congrats. I have a 19-4 and love it. Just picked up the Black Widow for it as well. It's a great gun. I had 19-3 years ago but was stupid and sold it - then was very sad. I'm happy to be a 19 2.5" owner again!!

Nice pick-up. I found a 4" 19-3 in nearly mint condition recently. Ironically, it had the same grips. Luckily, the original wood grips came with the gun as well.
    Too many guns?
