    Default Beretta Nano

What do you guys think, I'm considering one for summer carry along with a j-frame or LCR. I don't really pocket carry so the little bit of extra weight isn't a problem. I'm open to other options. I had the LC9 but when I started to train more with it I didn't like the recoil after 100 rounds or so. I'm considering the Nano cause its a bit heavier and recoil is less felt.
Tell me what you think good or bad.

Held a Nano once; it was comfortable, but I didn't purchase it because of numerous reports that it is ammo sensitive.

    Went with a 9mm S&W Shield instead.

    This and this.

The Beretta Nano is only 1/3 of an ounce heavier than the Ruger LCP so actually the weight and recoil will probably be the same. The S&W shield is real close to the Ruger LCP form factor and a little heavier.

The last I heard of the Nano, it doesn't like 115 grain ammo as much and runs better with a heavy bullet. If it was the other way around, it would not bother me much, since I can use 115g Self defense ammo like Hornadny Critical defense. The fact that the gun will choke more often on the bullet weight that most range and plinking ammo comes in makes it not that appealing.

I have a nano and love it. I would strongly suggest getting the "talon grip" for it. It's pretty much grip tape pre-cut.

I have shot 147, 124, and 115 through it, about 5 boxes so far, no issues at all.

i have shot the nano quite a few times, nice shooter, never any issues. ended up with a xds for the same size packed with 45acp. less recoil and more fire power.

I have never shot the Nano, but I did like the way it felt in my hand. The biggest reason that I immediately took it off my list was the lack of a slide release. I found having to drop the mag to release the slide to be quite awkward.

You don't have to drop the mag. You can simply pull back the slide slightly and it will release the slide.
I haven't tried it with an empty mag but when I put the next full mag in that's all I have to do to release the slide.

With an empty mag you had to drop the mag slightly and rack the slide.

I just went to the candy store and held one...I don't know if I like it or not. I'm still leaning towards the S&W 442, as I held an LCR also and it's nice but the j frame is better in my hand.

I was really close to buying one but it seemed kind of top heavy. Withouht having a chance to shoot one i was a little hesitant. I'm looking for something for edc and just haven't found the right fit yet. I've only ever seen 1 shield and it was a reps display not for sale and not for shoot,
The only easy day was yesterday
Does anyone know the number for 9-1-1?
