I believe it is in poor taste. It may be viewed as Mario raping the Princess. It may be viewed as Mario taking advantage of the Pricess when she is not in a condition to give or decline consent. In short, it is not appropriate for a wide audience.

It is because of such immature things as that avatar that DanP is fooling himself into believing that this site can really be taken seriously. Sure, show up in Harrisburg and show the PAFOA's support of gun rights, then have visitors to the site and find offensive avatars that advocate rape. Certainly not the image I desire to have associated with my reputation.

Is this something that you would want your child to see? Is it something that your mother would appreciate seeing? Is it reasonable for a wife to take offense?

I believe the avatar may hinder a cross section of gun owners from coming to PAFOA.

I think the princess is actually an inflatable doll, but it is hard to tell because they are both cartoons...after all, Mario is a fat plumber, he'd never get a chick like that in real life!

With that said, I think this one is cooler!

In all seriousness...I was reading the board a few weeks ago and my 7 year old daughter came up behind me and sat there looking. Not a big deal as this board is fairly tame.

I scrolled down and there was your avatar...I didn't realize it at first...my daughter made a comment about "mario squeezing a princess"...I looked at the av...yeah...I had to close out the page once I realized what she was looking at.

I actually find the av somewhat amusing but on the other hand, there are children that can see this board and I am not sure how well that all goes. In my case, my daughter is quite naive so that helped but I also didn't want her looking at it too much.

I'm not saying...I'm just saying.
