Every gun is roll marked " 1 of 300 ", every gun has a different serial number. They did this in the classic "1 of a thousand" style, like the Winchester 1873, so they didn't have to change the roll mark for every gun.

There is a Sig rifle set(you get the 5.56 and .22)in the classifieds here that is "One of Two Thousand"
Is this a new marketing thing to try to create some kind of equilibrium between the 1st of 300 and the 300th of 300??? Like nobody wants anything past 100 of 300 so let's just make them all 1 of 300???
I'm not the "limited edition" collector type so I just don't get it.
Edit: I read DClan's post after posting mine.
If they do this to save money or time by not having to change a roll mark, to me, that kind of makes it seem like a less special thing.Last edited by spartakis252; February 5th, 2013 at 01:57 AM.
