New to the neighborhood. Anything special pro- or anti-gun I should know?
TIA

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
i am in the process of getting my LTCF/CCW... I dropped off my card off at the Limerick Police dept. I awaiting for a call. It's 5 days, I believe.
Limierck Hardware now is a FFL and there's another FFL on swamp pike that can do transfers.
nothing screams anti gun here. unless someone else can chime in differently.....Then Piers Morgan came on and I almost got a concussion from facepalming so hard.

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
All good to know,
I have 'til 2014 on my Chesco CCW, but I will plan ahead on that local LEO card. I mainly do C&R, and I have a good FFL in Royersford, Vic Falli, but I will check those other two out.
Thanks.

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
I just stopped in at Limerick Hardware...not much there. They had an MP Shield 9mm for a "low" price of $569...I paid $409 for my shield a few months ago.
Transfer fee is $25 which is the norm for the area.

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
Im a 61 yr old, retired resident of Linfield and just decided to apply for a carry permit.
Whats the usual waiting period for the Police Check card here? Im also wondering if the personal references on the application are told that you are being screened for a carry permit. There arent many people that i'd want knowing I carry a firearm
If they are being told then I want to be extremely selective about references.Last edited by GreenSam52; February 21st, 2013 at 12:28 PM.

I just have my regular shooting buddies, or other guys I know that have permits, on my reference list.

For my wife it's been over 7 days, still waiting . It took a week for me.

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
I dropped my Police Check card off at the Limerick PD on Feb 5th and still haven't heard anything. The woman at the desk mentioned that only one officer does the checks and he just finished a batch. I'm hoping I get a call this week.

Re: Limerick/Linfield?
Refuse to do the check card please, it's not legal, montco will still have to issue you you ltcf, they did for me. They are not happy about it, but more of us need to stand up for our rights or they will eventually be as bad as th Philadelphia gun unit. Do you want that? Please just fill out the single form required by the psp, and the pa constitution. 1 form is all you need, the check card a loophole for the montco to deny people.
