Ruger SR22
Everyone should have at least one. I bought one maybe a year ago and must admit out of all my guns that little 22lr semi for 300 bucks could be my favorite. Fits my hand great, feeds anything you put in it, shoots with a bigger gun feel, and is way cool looking to boot.

Re: Ruger SR22
I have one. Ruger is selling a anodized silver one now too!
If only I could find .22LR for it.

I love mine too. I hope to pick up the aluminum anodized one this year as well.

Has been a lifesaver for me recently. I get to continue to shoot and have fun while saving my more critical calibers for a rainy day

Re: Ruger SR22
Has Ruger fixed the takedown level issue? I am getting one anyway I think. There is an aftermarket one for $20 made by Tactical Tech, I think...

Re: Ruger SR22
I bought one this past fall and liked it so much I bought a second one for his-n-hers range sessions. Bought four extra mags, too. Devours CCI Mini-Mags, "Tactical", and the overpriced CCI stuff with the Swamp Guy on the box.
I did invest in two of those aftermarket takedown levers after reading about SR22 TD levers cracking from slide impact. Installation took all of five minutes following the directions. I don't recall the name of the company, but Google "SR22 Takedown Lever" and it will pop up.
Great little pistol; way better IMO and experience than the Walther.

Re: Ruger SR22
I bought my Ruger before the intro of the SR22, its a MKIII 22/45 TB. Now, it may not be an SR22, but its accurate ( I'd put it up against the SR for accuracy ), reliable, and suppressor ready.

Re: Ruger SR22
I purchased one last year right after they were introduced. As a newer shooter it has been an enjoyable/affordable alternative to running my 9mm at every shooting session. Time and budget constraints have only allowed about 800 rounds through it, but it has performed flawlessly. My wife actually enjoys this one too which is a big plus. I would wager this little pistol has been a resounding success for Ruger and certainly a lightweight, easy takedown alternative to the Mark and 22/45 series.
Threaded barrel version is available now as well.

Re: Ruger SR22
in all seriousness...I was looking for one after I recently bought a Walther P22Q that I ended up not liking, but settled on a Ruger Mk III with 6" standard barrel; not nearly as lightweight or compact as the SR22, but I like it alot better than the Walther
