Default Anyone ever shot a Rossi Ranch Hand?

    ....or a similar gun?

I think they're really neat looking, and seem like a lot of fun. I totally picture myself of a horse with one dangling from a holster off to the side.

Anyways, I'm really just curious as to how accurate they are. Is the barrel threaded like a rifle despite it being labeled a "pistol"? I'd be pretty happy with decent accuracy up to 50-75 yards.

The only think I dont like about them is the obnoxiously large and rounded lever. I can see why it would be advantageous to have them enlarged, but man, they're huge!

I held one at the WM I work at that was SO'd for a customer. Took about 5 seconds to decide I wouldn't be looking for one anytime, soon. It just wasn't for me, besides, a Marlin or Winchester lever action carbine looks better on a horse, IMO.

Here is a write up on it: http://www.americanrifleman.org/arti...h-hand-review/ I find it interesting that the author said he could hit 16" plates at 50 yds, consistently. If I couldn't do that with a 4" polymer pistol, then it is going to become test material for my sledge hammer.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

Yeahhhhh I guess I sort of expected that. Just shatter my dreams, why don't you!

How much do the carbines run? What specific model are you talking about?
