    Sweet!

BTW, I'm one of the only Colt lovers/collectors here, so you might want to stay close.

Good then that makes two of us. My very first gun I bought was an series 80 stainless government model and I sold it like a dummy. But I still have my first rifle which is an AR-15 H-Bar I bought new in 89.

This Govt model began its life as the XSE like your Commander pictured. I replaced the guide rod with the G.I. set up, went back to the single sided thumb safety, installed S&A grip safety, Wolff springs, CMC trigger, Brown internals and I matte finished it after I smoothed everything up. For some reason Colt 1911's have edges sharp enough to slice tomatoes. I like rounded edges without getting crazy....I also like blasted over the factory polished flats.

    XSE's make great guns!
