Re: Asked to leave The Mütter Museum for Open Carry
Until reading this thread, I had never heard of the place so I checked out their website.
While on the site, I ran across this in their policies:
Policies
· Food and drink are not allowed within the galleries.
· Backpacks and large bags must be checked. Smaller bags may be carried on one shoulder or handheld. The College reserves the right to restrict any item for any reason.
· The use of cell phones is restricted to the audio tour only. All cell phones must be silenced while in the galleries. The speaker phone feature may not be used for any reason.
· Please do not sit on steps, platforms or ledges.
· Strollers are not permitted in the galleries for safety reasons. Child carriers strapped to a person's back are not permitted.
· Lecturing is permitted by advance agreement only.
· Photography of any kind is strictly prohibited. Violators will be asked to leave.
· For the consideration of others, please speak in a low volume.
· The College of Physicians of Philadelphia is private property. The carrying of a firearm is strictly prohibited on College property.

Re: Asked to leave The Mütter Museum for Open Carry
Has anyone been to this place recently, and if so, how did it go? I was asked about concealed carry in certain places around Philly, and was one of the places specifically brought up.

You should have asked if they received Federal or State funds. Homework for another day is to find out if they were within their rights to ask you to leave.

Wonder how it would have gone if they had discreetly called the Philadelphia Police and the call went out, "Report of man with a gun".
