Colt Police Positive
As I mentioned in a previous thread. I have a PP that was my Grandfathers. I checked proofhouse to try to pin down the age and can't find the serial number anywhere. It starts with 297XXX and had a "T" stamped under it (meaning factory targeted) On the 4" barrel with patent dates of Aug 5, 1884 June 5, 1900 and July 4, 1905 on the top and Police Positive .38 Special on the left side. It has a chrome (nickle?) finish with mother of pearl grips (the right grip has a chunk missing ). The cylinder measures 1 9/16" long.
I'll try to get a couple pics added tomorrow.
