I'm a member too. It's close to my house and everybody I have run into are really great people.
I shoot everything from muzzleloaders to AR-15's and such.

Re: Logan's Ferry Sportsman's Club
Thanks for the replies. Do they run classes for kids (ages 9+)? Would I need to take the whole family to orientation?

I don't think the whole family needs to go to orientation. I know my mom didn't go when my dad joined.
There is a requirement now that you have to take a safety course the week before orientation.

Re: Logan's Ferry Sportsman's Club
Its a great club, they also have a Jr Rifle Shooter League indoor 50ft three position. They provide all the equipment and rifle and charge about $3 for ammo a night. Its a great opportunity to see of your child enjoys the sport before investing in it. There are also many high schools around the club that have WPIAL Rifle Teams in school, and this club is a greta way to start them off prior to high school and gain an edge before trying out for the team in HS.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Logan's Ferry Sportsman's Club
Hello dead thread!
Looking to join. I see nothing about the basic safety course on the calendar. I believe an orientation meeting for me to attend and apply is next week. I just sent off an email but thought I'd check in here.
Also, is the new member year start in January? Would I get prorated any paid monies if I join with 2 months left in the year?
Thank you."Governments... derive their just powers from the consent of the governed."
