M38 mauser bolt?
Anyone have experience fitting a different bolt to a M38 turk? Seems all the info I've seen points out only Turks are interchangeable with Turks, if youre even lucky enough for that. Maybe i'm just not digging deep enough for info, but any help would be appreciated. I need to find a bolt for my project, just dont want to waste money on completely the wrong thing, Thanks

Re: M38 mauser bolt?
1. Buy a complete bolt. (standard Mauser made is likely the one for your gun)
2. Give gun and bolt to gunsmith to have him check fit (meaning headspace)
3. Pay gunsmith once the gun is checked out.
There are many sources for Mauser bolts. Springfield Sporters or Numrich are the first that come to mind. The Internet is your friend.

Re: M38 mauser bolt?
Turk receivers are slightly longer than "standard" Mauser 98 receivers (if there is such a thing), and require a Turk bolt.
As the post above suggests, try Numrich or Springfield Sporters.
