Cool AR Project complete, pics and range report

Took her out to the range, only got to shoot 14 rounds as I went through a function check and zeroed the buis and the 25mm Ultradot. Rifle is pretty accurate, 7 hits in the 8 ring, 3 in the 9 and 2 in 10 (first two shots were 7 and 6 high and low as I played with the elevation on the front blade) when I finally could settle it in, using Birchwood Casey 12x12 paper target at 25 yards. Shot American Eagle XM855 62gr fmj-bt ball 556x45.'

Took my 4yo to the range today. His eyes went wide when I took the Franken gun out of the rifle bag and got it prepped to shoot.

So, $235 for a JSE Surplus 556 1x9 Bulldog Barrel, threaded birdcage, M4 handguard and Yankee Hill Upper.

    $130 LMT BCG

    $125 for Xtreme Machining lower.

    $60 for trigger group

$50 for 6 pos stock (DPMS)

$50 for NCStar (yuck I know, but he had it on the shelf) front and rear BUIS

    $10 EMA front vert grip

20yo Ultradot red dot (still "accurate" -more so when I can shoot without chattering teeth or shivering from 30degree temps) and dovetail mount.

Home made sling - I LOVE to tinker

Congrats on the build. Have fun with it and shoot it often. Taking mine out tomorrow.

Hoping to get a little warmer weather this week, and run some ammo through mine!
Gander Mtn had .223 AE on sale at $30/100, maybe still do.
The most dangerous place in America is a "gun free" zone.

Just get out there n' shoot LOL. Plus, chances are you'll have a range to yourself (I belong to a club).

Thats a pretty decent price. Wallyworld wants $40/100 (I dont buy my stuff there though, I support my LGS). I was able to get my 556 62gr for $7/20rd box though. The olive green box. I noticed wolf was pretty cheap, but Im interested in reloading, not sure Wolf will reload.
