Default Built a new reloading bench!

Figured it was time to build a bench that's strictly dedicated to reloading. Sitting at the regular work bench was getting old, too much excess stuff sitting on it and sat way too low for my liking, I wanted something much bigger and built to last. I'm 6'1" so I decided to build a bench that was comfortable to work at while standing, as well as sitting in a tall drafting chair. Location is perfect, down in my basement behind another closed door on the one side. Distraction-free and a nice little "hole" to work in. Basically I made it with 3/4" plywood for the top, and then framed it out with 2x4's and used 4x4's for legs. Sturdy as hell, very happy with how it turned out. Made some shelves out of some extra 2x6's. The bench itself measures 64" long by 36" wide, sitting 41" tall. Also installed the fluorescent light overhead. I plan on reloading mainly on the left side, and use the right side for cleaning guns and other things. Note the angled wedge idea I came up with for anchoring down my powder measure. Slides in and out from the back, and that way I can swap out different tools using a different wedge, or use multiple powder measures so I don't always have to readjust the dial for different loads.

Still keeping all my powder and primers in a separate cabinet. Hope to add some bins like these in the future. Anyone know where else I can get some? I'm having a hard time finding any except for those. Anyway, enough of the blabbing. Here are some pics!

    Nice set up.

But , why do I find myself humming the song "RED SOLO CUP"?

The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Thanks everyone! Those red solo cups are actually glass, so they have more weight to them and are handy for holding brass at times. Don't worry, no boozing at the reloading bench

    Very nice bench.

Looks like something I could use.

I am not currently reloading but I think I am going to start.

Would these part bins work for you?

Nice work . . . you'll be twice as happy now working at the right heights at a piece of your own work lol.

Dunno whether you want the bins to hang, or stack, or both. I decided only a couple had to hang, but by far most needed to stack. So here's a start down the Akro Bin path Hanger bars can also be found. Some big-box hardware stores stock similar items too.

Thanks for the link! Yeah I agree, I think I'll only need a maximum of two that are hanging.
