Default Help ID these 1911 mags, please!

Hi all. I got these mags for $20 each at The Armory on Route 209 in Brodheadsville.

I bought them to use in IDPA, and I was searching for mags that would drop freely from my gun for quicker reloads, as different mags have significantly different dimensions... I've even found a few that couldn't be forced into my 1911.

The guy there was very nice, he didn't have anything new, but he went in back and grabbed a big box of used 1911 mags and we tested them all in my gun. I chose these two, because they seem to come flying out of the gun much faster than even my Chip McCormick mag. Upon testing them, I find that they feed beautifully in my gun, even allowing me to slowly chamber a round withou getting hung up of the feed ramp. With my Chip McCormick, the slide must be released from the back in order to chamber reliably. I want to ID these mags so I can recommend them to people.

Because they were just extras that were pulled from a box, they had no packaging. I've tried Google, but my Google-fu appears to be weak. Any help would be appreciated.

Both mags are identical, I included both in the pictures so I could show two angles with each picture.

The only identifying mark I can find is on the follower. It just says: "PATENTED" with the patent number, which is 6,560,907. I tried finding info on this patent, but couldn't find anything about who makes them.

    Looks like these

Probably just "unbranded" as they are OEM for Kimber/Rock Island/ and others

The patent number on the follower is the same patent number that is on the followers of my Tripp Research mags. My Tripp mags in .38 Super and 10mm use these followers so you have very good followers. I am also thinking metalform from the boots. I had trouble with metalform mags riding over my mag release in a Dan Wesson Specialist. Switched to Tripps and never had the problem again. You might want to order a Tripp mag and give it a try. They are awesome mags.

yeah, look like tripps to me. i got a few in 45 that have never gone goofy on me. i trust them and 20 per is actually a decent price, as they are kinda salty.

Perhaps I am naive, but what do you mean by "salty"?

My understanding of the word "salty" indicates that those mags are upset, or "angry".

My ebonics is a bit rusty though, so...

They look like Para Ordnance mags to me...

    That's my guess anyway...

I asked him while I was there. He didn't know either, as they came in to him used with a used gun.
