Default March Practical Rifle Shoot WWII Event Early Heads Up

    Folks,

We are once again holding our WWII Practical Rifle shoot Saturday March 30th. Due to popular demand, we will be opening the competition up to WWII era bolt action rifles. If you want to shoot a bolt action rifle in the event, please use this time to obtain a supply of stripper clips. I would suggest bringing at least ten. Here is a list of approved firearms for this shoot. If you don't see your favorite on the list, let me know and I'll add it if appropriate. Please use this time to aquire what ever ammo, magazines, enbloc clips, stripper clips or other items you may require to take part in this event. The course of fire will be 80 rounds. All shooting evolutions will focus around 8 rounds. So if you are shooting a bolt gun, you will need a stripper clip loaded to 5 rounds and another loaded with three rounds.

Here is the sign up link:

    Couple questions,

What would the "typical "Corse of fire look like.... I'm assuming more like 3 gun than JCG/highpower

    What's the cost?

Our course of fire will be 80 rounds fired from 15-200 yards in standing, prone and knelling.

The price for this match will be $15 for LRGC members and $20 for non-members.

Just a reminder...if you want to shoot with a bolt gun for this match you must use stripper clips to reload your rifle. There will be no hand loading of individual rounds permitted. If you don't have any stripper clips for your bolt gun, use this time to get some. I would suggest having a minimum of eight. More would be better.

There will be no exceptions made to this rule.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Those who want to shoot this match with bolt action rifles... have you gotten your stripper clips yet?

This sounds like a lot of fun. 80rounds of any shooting is a good time to me.
