    Default Remington 870 question

    I've never seen a 870 youth 20 ga.
Can anyone tell me if its just a smaller stocked and shorter barrel than on a std 870 20 ga.

    Thank you

Yes, the receiver is the same. Not really much wiggle room to downsize one.

If one is not available I would recommend buying the 20 ga and cutting down the stock...it seems like most people do better with a shorter-than-factory LOP anyway

Yes, it is the same. I have an 870 Express Magnum Youth. As I grew older I changed out the stock to fit my larger frame. Haven't changed the barrel yet because I ended up switching to shooting more 12 ga. The parts are all interchangeable with other full size 870s.
