    Default Reccomendation For a 9mm between $300-400

I am new to the sport/hobby. I know handguns are hard to get at the moment, however the only way I am going to be able to shoot on a regular basis and and learn is to actually have one.

I bought a Bersa Thunder 380 plus for my wife. I am looking for a 9mm. I have had some great recommendations (Ruger SR9C, Ruger P95,Taurus 24/7-9SSP17
S&W SD9VE) however NONE are available anywhere! Very frustrating. Buds has a lot of stuff, however none of these weapons.

I am looking for a 9mm, concelaed carry is not so important at this point, just need to have something to learn with. I see a lot of Taurus' on the Buds site that are available, but have not heard a lot on any of them.

Can anyone help? I am kind of at a loss at the moment. Thanks!

Since you had good luck with the BT 380 for your wife, I'd recommend the Bersa UC9 for yourself. It's a bit heavier and thicker compared to the 380, but that's to be expected with a larger caliber. I have one, have no problem concealing it in a supertuck holster. Just as reliable and smooth shooting. They also have a Bersa Pro Concealed Carry 9mm. I haven't had the chance to get it out yet, but if it lives up to the standard the other guns set, I wouldn't worry at all.

If you can swing a few more bucks get a Canik. Very good quality CZ clone.

The S-120 is a steel frame full sized. Great gun to learn to shoot. Will be more accurate than you are at this time.

I would also consider getting a .22 asap afterwards to practice fundamentals with as it is much cheaper to shoot.

Here is also a good gun. Sarsilmaz B6

Another Turkish made CZ75 pattern pistol but with a polymer frame.
Cant beat the price. Another member on here I believe just got one.

Will be a little tougher to shoot but not unmanageable.

What model Tauruses are you looking at?
BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.

you can probably get a used SW 5906, glock 17/19, Ruger p95, for 300-400. google cdnn and sing up for their email specials. cdnn normally has several used/like new and new firearms for reasonable prices. if your price range is 400 i'd suggest you save another 200 and buy a new glock, beretta, SW M&P.

Save up an extra $100 and have way way way more choices.... Why settle?

$500 opens a world of options in handguns...

It would be nice if I could find any of those used. I have gone to a ton of links. I don't have a personal FFL dealer I work with so makes it harder to do classifieds. I am a beginner, so I don't want to invest too much right now as I am sure you can understand.

Look for a used 3rd generation S&W in 9mm. Great first guns. 59xx, 9xx, 39xx, etc. They'd be right in your price range, very dependable, realtively easy to find as long as you're not particular on which one.
