Default Heavy vs. medium heavy barrel

Hey all it's time for my dumb question of the week. So who better to ask than all of you ? I'm here to learn from those with more knowledge & insight. What if any are the advantages to having a heavy barrel ?

Default Re: Heavy vs. medium heavy barrel

    to get stronger?

heats up slower, accuracy stays tight a few rounds longer in rapid succession, less harmonics affecting accuracy, heavy is good on a bench or rest as things that are heavy and not moving tend to not want to move (i.e. more stability for you to align target and press trigger without moving the gun all over the place).

thats my thoughts on it and i like heavy barreled rifles myself, makes you feel like you did something after humpin' all over a mountain for 8-10 hours with one slung on you.
