Default Wife had a scare today.

Well it wasnt at Walmart, but it was in the same parking lot. My wife had to ready a story at my sons school for "story snack". Well on the way to school she stopped to get the snack at superfresh. When she was done checking out she noticed a man walking around her truck pushing a cart, stopping at each door and checking the handles. She looked around and noticed at least two other guys also checking doors on the nicer cars. Luckily she stopped right there. Now shes standing outside of the store, she cant get in her truck, becaus there is a 6' tall man standing by her truck, and she doesnt knwo what to do.

Pause to tell you how much I love my wife. She called me directly after to tell me she wants to take a handgun course.

Well it just so happened there was a state cop sittign in front of the store, maybe responding to these 3 men who knows, she walks over to the cop, knocks on his window, and tells him "What the fuck is that asshole doing to my truck? See him? Thats my truck! Get him away from it." Mind you my wife is 5'4" overweight and still doesnt look a bit of her 30 years. The officer watches the man for a second, then turns down the asile and confronts him. he talks for a second, then cuffs him and puts him in the car. He motions for my wife to come over and walks around her car with her. He makes sure shes in the car, then takes her name and number and tells her to go, and be safe.

I dont even want to think what could have happened if she didnt notice the guy. She will not be leaving the house alone untill she is armed. My guess is the guy was just lookign for a quick grab, maybe to steal a car, but if he got startled, who knows what he would do.

disclaimer: No walmart greeters were mentioned in this story, so that alone proves it is true. If i got the facts wrong, tough shit this is the internet. I will be calling the state police to see if i can get any info on this, including if the guy was just detained, or if he is being charged for something. If you dont believe it, ask my wife she is still kinda pale.

    Glad to hear she's safe.

It's important to note that your wife handled the situation properly, even if she was armed!

It was her paying attention that made things go well.

    WOW CHEV.......

    Glad your Mrs. noticed.....
She definitely had an angel on her shoulder!

We all know it could have been much much worse.

Of course let her take the gun classes.

Then buy her any gun she finds comfortable!

A big ATTA' GIRL to Mrs. Chevmeister!!

Finally a cop around when you NEED HIM.

Anybody checking doors in broad daylight is worthy of the golden handcuff awards. It could have been bad. The guy could have had a gun or knife. My oppinion was he was either out to steal a car, or just anything in one he could get his hands on.

Glad your wife is OK. I'm glad she didn't try to confront the dude.

But most importantly I'm glad she noticed something wasn't kosher. I see alot of people who walk around clueless and don't notice anything around them.

Obviously your wife has got good sense. That means she probably won't walk into a stupid situation that forces her to use her new handgun skills.

    Glad your family is safe

I think Country meant that she will be displeased with your description of her. You may want her to cool down before she goes about armed

    Be safe.
