Sportsmans shop in New Holland on Amish Mafia
Anybody see the new episode of Amish Mafia featuring the Sportsmans Shop! Joe looked pretty good on TV.
At the same time one of the characters, Jolin, took an Amish girl, Esther, to a range that looked conspicuously like Penn Dutch to shoot an AR.
Wouldn't that be some bs to see the range get financial gain for allowing a tv show to make money off shooting a type of firearm that the club ultimately banned? I am glad the rules were rescinded but if the range used in the show was Penndutch then that makes me even more frustrated with the leadership of this club.

Why would any gun shop want to be on that show? The show is a joke. They make a lot of vague references to things but never really explain anything. Sadly, there are probably people out there that believe the show is real.

Armyrecon, one Recon to another(Jarhead reconnaissance) where did you hear PennDutch banned AR style rifles ? thier rules and regs on thier site does not state such rules, I live close by and had been considering joining, this will be a deal breaker if fact.
Can any one elaborate on this ?
thanks

Re: Sportsmans shop in New Holland on Amish Mafia
I was looking at a forum about these amish shows and one of the stores in Lancaster said there was filming done there. They said they were decieved by the producers of what the show was about. They claim they were told it was a documentary on amish life in Lancaster County. They filmed Levi going into the store. Then they filmed him on the sidewalk reading a note, implying that he had recieved a secret message from someone in the store.
Maybe something similar similar happened with these other places as well.

You can see the Semi_auto range rules being changed and changed again (start at post #105):
http://forum.pafoa.org/lancaster-28/...sportsmen.html
Initially ARs and other longarms illegal in Pa for hunting were banned. Then the ban was relaxed and morphed into limits on magazine loadings and rates of fire. Things may get better or worse depending on this month's meeting.Last edited by tl_3237; January 22nd, 2013 at 12:18 PM.

Re: Sportsmans shop in New Holland on Amish Mafia
I received the email from the sportsmans shop that they pulled out of the eastern show.
I am member of penndutch. There is a forum that covers the rule changes. Thanks X
